Autoimmune Diseases

Posted in Autoimmune Diseases on May 01, 2018

Autoimmune disease in the United States is one of the fastest growing segments of healthcare or disease problems in America. We're finding more and more cases of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, conditions where the body's actually attacking itself. That means the immune system, your immune system, which is designed to protect your body from anything on the outside that can hurt it is now actually attacking what's on the inside, your own body.

Why would a body do that? Well, let's first look at what controls your immune function. Your immune function is 100% entirely controlled by the nerve system. The nerve system, the brain, brain stem, tells the immune system what to do, how to do it, when there's to be an alarm, what needs to be attacked, and what not.  The immune system is like the army and your brain, brain stem is like the general. It tells the army what to do and who to attack and who not to attack.

So, if your body is attacking something within itself, if your immune system is destroying some part of your body, your joints, sheath around the nerve, then that's being controlled by the nerve system. So, there's got to be some mis-wiring or some miscommunication between the nerve system, brain, brain stem, and the immune system, telling the body to do something it shouldn't be doing because it's hurting itself.

We have found that there's one place in the body that can interfere with the normal function of the brain or the normal messages from the brain to your immune system, and that's at the top of the neck, that's the brain stem area. If one of the bones at the top of the neck gets out of align, it can literally interfere with the normal messages that the brain would send, telling your immune system what to do and what not to do and alter the message, so that now the immune system does something different from what the brain was trying to instruct it to do. That means it could actually be attacking a part of itself because of the change in the message. That's what leads to autoimmune conditions where the body actually hurts itself and destroys itself.

We have had hundreds of patients with a wide range of autoimmune conditions that we have found a problem at the top of the neck. If we correct the problem, it normalizes the communication from the brain to your immune system. Now, it no longer attacks itself and actually can go back and heal the damage that has already been done.

So, if you have any autoimmune condition, if you go to your medical doctor, they're always going tell you, it's idiopathic. We don't know what causes it. We don't know why, because there's no drug or surgery that can fix it. If there's no drug or surgery that can make your immune system change its course, then there's not a whole lot that they can do for you. But what we've found is, what's going on inside is the problem. The inside of your body's attacking itself. The messages are coming from inside your body and there's only one place that those messages can be altered or distorted and that's at the brain stem.
